The popularity of Mindfulness is rising, it has been predominately made available to those with mental illness, but Mindfulness is for everybody and the benefits are endless.
But what is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a way of being, openly curious, fully focused and fully aware of our experiences in the present moment. It is fundamental to health and is becoming increasingly difficult to attain in our modern world. By learning to practising Mindfulness, we retain our monkey minds to be fully present to our experiences.

Week 1 – Introduction to Mindfulness
Focus on self-awareness of the breath, body, thoughts and emotions. Opportunities insights and change, start with mindful attention.
Week 2: Be right where you are.
Much of our lives we spend in the past or the future. This week we look at the present moment. When you recognise the minds tendency to the past or future, it becomes easier to be present.
Week 3 – Our story telling mind
As you practice Mindfulness, you begin to notice your monkey mind more and more this week we take a closer look at our monkey minds and learn to separate ourselves from our minds stories.
Week 4 – Cultivating Kindness
It is important how we pay attention often has the effect of judgement or harshness. In this session, we look at how we should practice when we bring kindness to our practice which allows us to have a non-judgment attitude.
Week 5 – Willing to be with things how they are.
We have a bias towards that which is pleasant and avoid that which is unpleasant. In this session, we recognise that the quality of the “present moment” is simply another layer of its richness and learn not to get swept away but rather accept it as it is.
Week 6 – Moving Forward
We look at deepening and reinforcing our practice and taking it into our everyday life.
I hope this gives you some incentive to take this six-week online introduction to Mindfulness course and I look forward to having you join us soon.
